What you will learn

This series is incredibly informative and helpful and has been specifically created for anyone who is beginning their journey with a blind or visually challenged dog. Each topic is designed to build your understanding and your confidence so you can provide the best support and care for your dog.

Webinar 1 has a focus on helping your dog to navigate the world safely and confidently. You'll learn about setting up your home and yard for safety, how to use surfaces as navigation aids, how to teach cues such as turn right/left and step up/down, and what you need to know about using common tools such as halo harnesses and eye protection. I'll also help to debunk some common myths that you might hear about blind dogs.

In Webinar 2, the focus will shift to daily activities and challenges and practical solutions. You'll learn how to reduce the chances of your blind dog startling and how to encourage their confidence. Walks can often be a challenge, as can leaving a blind dog home alone. You'll learn practical tips for both of these, as well as how to encourage safe and happy interactions between your blind dog and children, and also with other animals in the home.

A special selection of resources will be available to you as well when you register. This will include a wide variety of topics that are important and answer frequently asked questions about living with, caring for and teaching dogs with visual challenges.

Webinar 3 is all about your specific questions and concerns. This is a time when you can ask me what's on your mind and get expert advice and support.

This webinar series goes above and beyond to teach you the real-life strategies and solutions that you can't find just by surfing the internet. Plus, you have the opportunity to have that information tailored specifically to you and your dog's needs.

I'll see you in that first webinar!
